The engraving is part of five illustrations of the "Cérémonies et coutumes religieuses de tous les peuples du monde", the monumental work in eight volumes concerning the religions of all the peoples of the world, published for the first time in 1727 in Amsterdam by J.F. Bernard. Table no. 5 was first published in 1737. This engraving belongs to an edition chronologically close to the first, probably in the mid 19th century. Framed.
