The painting is presented on the first canvas and without visible repainting with Wood's lamp. The state of conservation as a whole appears to be good, despite the dense network of cracks present throughout the painting, together with the presence of small dark spots. On the back of the canvas the possible junction seam between two canvases is visible, corresponding, in the front part, to a wider horizontal crimp.
