The work is a clear example of the female portraiture of the Maestro: the cloudy and slightly distant eyes, the faces that hint at a smile, suggest to us the aspiration to an immortal feminine. Here are the aristocratic hands resting lightly on the clothes and composed, as often happens, around an object (in this case a letter or a handkerchief). To embellish the design, we note the detail of the beautiful swan necks, as supports for the armrests of the chair. Unfortunately, the surname of the girl portrayed has not yet been deciphered.
