Made of carved, sculpted and gilded wood. Upper shelf of red Pyrenean marble. Stamped “E. Chollot.”
Decorated with ribbon motif, frieze in fretwork on the band, garlands and laurel wreaths. Two volute feet held together by a crosspiece bearing a flower vase. The model is rich and carefully executed.
Edme Chollot: Parisian cabinetmaker, Maître in 1723. Specialized in the production of carved wooden consoles during the Transitional period.
