Pair of five-flame candelabras, France, Empire Epoch, Early 19th century

Gilt bronze. Stems made in the shape of winged putti in burnished bronze, in the act of supporting with both hands a basket of fruit from which cornucopias decorated with plant festoons develop, standing on gilded spheres decorated with acanthus leaves. Plinth with relief decoration in gilt, chiseled, and kissed bronze, standing on square base.
